Research methods as a whole

Research methods as a whole was a good lesson. It sort of helped with an understanding of what my final year project is going to be like. It provided a clear guide on how to undertake research as well as highlight the realities of undertaking research including the more common pitfalls. I have explored a range of approaches, strategies and methods with which could help me tackle a research project. I progressed really slowly at the beginning of the unit; this is because I wasn’t clear of the concept of the unit. I was able to gain a clear understanding of the unit through peers in my lessons. At times I did not think I gained much of an insight of the subject in the lesson, however when I did my own private study of the unit I was able to gain a better understanding of what was being taught in the lesson.

I did not manage to complete all the activities in the times that they are meant to be completed because of other units which were taking over. There was too much work given at the beginning of the semester that I found it hard to balance all my work, however I did end up catching up with all the activities but it made it hard for other students to be able to place any comments on my reflections of my projects which might explain the lack of comments on some of my work.

I would say the lesson need much improvement, it just there was too much information to be obtained in little time. There was too much to do in your own personal time which made it hard to keep up with the work, however I did manage to keep up with the work.
